My Idol

Having at least one idol in this world is a common thing to be done by people. Many people would have put any of their favourite celebs or even singer as their idol. but as for me, no need to look far, cause my idol is here. Always be by my side since i was a kid up till right now. well, guess you right-my idol is my dad.

Haji Iskhandar Bin Osman, yeah, that's my dad. from the outer, if you simply look him by his personality or the outer self presentation, you would likely to think him as a fierce man, strict and quiet person. He may look very unfriendly kind of person, but all this first impressions are all wrong. my dad, if you really get to know him, he is really the opposite of the above statements. He's funny, friendly and very easy to talk with.

among the reasons why i chosen my dad to be my idol is because what he had sacrifices for me and my family. I still remembered, there was once, when i was in Standard One and my little sister, Najwa was in kindergarten, we were attending this swimming lesson. by that time, my family is still unstable in term of financial that we don't really have our own car. so what my dad did was, for most of the time for our swimming classes, he will bring Najwa and I to take a ride by mini bus and stops by the road and walk on foot to the swimming class' venue. he always holds Najwa in his arms while his other hands holds my hand to make sure we are safe.

there were also one time that sacrifices that he did that makes me cried a lot. Last year, right before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, my family was in some sort of financial problems due to the closing of our restaurant. My dad was submitting his resume through mails and asking most of his friends that have any vacancies for him to apply for job. Since it's nearly Hari Raya, my dad became a bit stress, but finally, his efforts was paid of when a friend of my parents needed someone to work for them as freelancer in accounting, shipping and also office works. for the sake of our family, my dad willingly to separate from us and transfer to Labuan from Sabah right after the day he got the job's offer.

thank god we manage to celebrate the Raya with him. but soon after that, when he got back to Labuan, his meals and sleeps are all out of order. My dad has some disease that doesn't allow him to be lack of sleep or having improper meals. but those kinds of situation had make him to still undergo all the pains. it still clear in my mind when I heard my dad was calling my mum. she asked my dad what did he had for dinner; and my dad answer that he bought nasi lemak in the afternoon and the chicken from that nasi lemak, he divided into two-half for afternoon and the other half for dinner!

which daughter that wouldn't feel the painful to hear such thing?! i was crying like hell inside my room and pray to Allah that if there's anything painful, let it just be me the one who feels it and not my family. i would rather suffer alone than seeing or hearing my family going through these kind of situations.

Thank to Allah, now my family's financial is a bit okay, cause my mother is already working back and its in the same company as my dad's. then, we now also had moved to Labuan to make it easier for my dad and for my mum to take care of him and for my dad to see our family always in front of his eyes.

I know that this particular post might not be known or read by my dad, but if he did one day, i would like him to now that, he is the best man ever in my life. his presence in my family with my mum has shines my life a lot. my siblings and I are the luckiest people in the world to have them both as our parents. even though we are not wealthy like other people, but we still keep together as one happy family. I always pray to Allah S.W.T. to bless our family and show us the right way in finding His blessings and may the end for all of us is good, AMIN.....
